The old one also connected to SIN (CDG-SIN only)/BKK. Now will connect CDG-BOM-SIN/BKK only.
The retiming may be due to SGN now being linked onto BOM-BKK. Although, if that's what they had in mind, CDG-SGN (2-stop) seems incredibly uncompetitive... _________________ |

I actually like it better. Makes it easier to connect intra europe and let's you leave europe and arrive early enough to make it to the office at a reasonable time in the am. I just wish 9W would partner with Delta. Then we'd finally get some options for flights to and within India |

That (re)increase certainly didn't last long.
There likely wasn't enough BBB feed from the shrinking number of longhauls for the third flight to thrive.
abhijith16 wrote: | One daily will be extended to SGN from the same date. |
Makes sense. It was dumb to make it a DEL flight to start with. Pick one secondary hub and stick with it.
And is it the morning departure from Bombay that's being extended to Saigon? If so, then that means even more of the backpackers might be induced to fly Fibga.
In any event, word is that the trashiest of them all (BKK & KTM) are the mainstay of the Paris flight. Poor CMB, unfortunately, remains as seamless as it ever was. Or maybe Jet discovered time travel?

Hahahah!
No doubt this will be hailed as a wonderful, brilliant decision and proof of how Jet's the best there ever was.
Of course, when I suggested the very same thing, the same crowd exploded into declarations of how that was the dumbest idea ever and so forth.
It's all about the messenger and not the message.

Jet Airways unveils new website offering one-stop solution for travellers
July 1
Jet Airways, India's premier international airline, on Wednesday launched its new website jetairways.com, which has been built around the theme 'Designed to Delight.'
The all new website features user friendly navigation, simplified and integrated booking process and responsive design for a seamless experience across desktops, tablets and smartphones. The mobile-first design approach offers guests an improved interface for a consistent experience across devices.
In addition, the new website also provides for easy accessibility for differently abled guests.
Designed with a strong focus on innovation, jetairways.com has smart features such as payment in local currency in select countries, Express Checkout and Seat Select options. The website features 61 country specific sites including sites in eight languages besides English.
The new smarter and faster booking engine, with country specific payment options and opportunity to combine travel essentials such as car rentals, travel insurance and hotels within the flight itinerary will further enhance the guests’ online booking experience.
Cramer Ball, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, said, “The new Jet Airways website will provide guests with a refreshed, one-stop service for all their travel requirements. The use of latest trends in user experience, design, personalisation and technology, will provide a unique experience which we believe will ensure our guests keep coming back. Jet Airways has always been at the forefront of adopting evolving technology to enhance guest experience across touch points. The new website symbolises our continued commitment to our customer focused ‘Guest First’ service philosophy, which is at the core of our business.”
The new website will provide guests quick access to key tasks they wish to complete on priority, like booking flights, check-in, viewing flight status, manage booking etc.
Another thoughtful addition, especially for price-sensitive guests, is the seven day timeline at the top of the flight search results page which will show fares on either side of the travel and departure date. Guests will also have the option to sort flights based on price, time of departure and connecting time.
The website, designed following extensive research and feedback from frequent flyers, bloggers and travel writers, will also offer guests promotional fares and special deals on flights across the Jet Airways network.
Guests on Jetairways.com can avail exclusive benefits of 500 bonus JPMiles for every flight booked and the flexibility to change or cancel tickets within 24 hours of booking with no penalty fee.

Most features of the JP programme on the site were dysfunctional last night. Don't software writers do even the most rudimentary checks any more ? Or is it peculiar to 9W ? |

The dysfunctional FFP of a dysfunctional airline has a dysfunctional website.... We really can't expect any different after all this time.
And yes, this is a Jet speciality. The last time around they shut down their website for 5 whole days to make major changes and when it was back up, there were no changes and it was just as crappy as ever.
Ooh.. that reminded me of the ai.com vs jet.dumb compare... Still brings a chuckle! _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

Pretty much everything worked for me last night, even logging in to JP, manage my booking and seat select, make changes to booking, etc
Of course, by night I mean I was up till 4AM or so getting to know the site, and it worked reasonably well so... _________________ http://www.youtube.com/c/JishnuBasu777 |

So I had a very quick look through the new new jet.dumb
I'm delighted to report that the crockery still retains a special mention, with a dedicated page.
However, it really, really, really saddens me that Rosenthal is now Rosengone. Replaced by William Edwards.
Not that I've heard of either, but I'm still sad _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

The article is a bit of a joke. Btw I love that Emirates is facing a capacity shortage - really? Then why for months was one able to get $800-900 fares from the US to India (unheard of fares for years and both Emirates and Etihad offered them for flights going up to December). It seems that Emirates is aggressively dumping in the indian market (by which I mean always having some extra capacity to ensure fares don't stabilize at reasonable levels). Look there will always be a desperate airlines offering cheap fares (good for consumer). That's what the Kuwait's of the world are for. You can't have the 3rd largest international carrier out of India pricing like a bottom feeder. Ruins the whole market and Indian cities loose nonstop connectivity for the honor of duty free shopping in Dubai. |

What was the snag.....pressurization leak..... |
....the pilots allegedly failed to switch on the auxiliary power unit (APU) which led to drop in cabin pressure.
The pilots allegedly forgot to switch on the APU, which is mandatory for flights operating from Leh, resulting in sudden drop in cabin air pressure which led to deployment of oxygen masks for the passengers, they said.

Since no new planes are coming, obviously something else is getting terminated and these flights are being launched. Wonder what is getting terminated. Too many network changes continue for 9W _________________ www.networkthoughts.com |

|
This is also to thwart or blunt the new services proposed by TruJet and may be Air Costa to RJA. Added benefit will be a one stop service to BLR, which has been adding services to the new Andhra Pradesh. Services from BLR now exceed DEL and MAA and trail HYD only.
India does not need this many regional carriers, especially in the South. |

The aircraft continued to Leh where the aircraft landed safely.
A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration VT-JGX was dispatched to Leh and performed the return flight 9W-2369 reaching Delhi with a delay of 5.5 hours.

What was the snag.....pressurization leak..... |
....the pilots allegedly failed to switch on the auxiliary power unit (APU) which led to drop in cabin pressure.
The pilots allegedly forgot to switch on the APU, which is mandatory for flights operating from Leh, resulting in sudden drop in cabin air pressure which led to deployment of oxygen masks for the passengers, they said.

also adding a 3rd daily HYD-RJA from the same date, this flight'll extend to BLR both ways
|
RJA looks temporary for the religious festival. Even Trujet is expected to reduce frequencies once the festival is over _________________ www.networkthoughts.com |

They never had BLR-DXB, DEL-RUH, DEL-JED or DEL-MCT. DEL-NAG/IXU have both returned, but as just one-ways (I think). IXJ-SXR was cut to allow for dedicated nonstops from DEL...
But, of course, I wouldn't expect you to know that
Expect JetCuts from BRU and the US of A. _________________ |

If they're simply going to move the layover from Brussels to Dhabi, I wouldn't call it a cut. _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |
