1) AI+IC
2) 9W
3) IT
I actually hope all of them survive. Although it looks a bit bleak for S2 in the current state.

1) AI/IC
2) Jet
3) Kingfisher
4) Spicejet
Does it bode well for Paramount that they are not even an option in the poll. _________________ My Flickr photos

The Choices should be Multiple or Question should be Best Survival.
I'd rate 9W & IC+AI combine with Maybe SpiceJet & off course good ol freighter Airlines

Thats true though, IMO there was really no need to put IC and AI in the list, we know they cant possibly go down. _________________ Geniuses are always misunderstood in their lifetimes. |

Somehow I do not see a big future for any of the smaller airlines being independently.
I think the likes of Air Deccan would have to merge with airlines like GoAir and/or Indigo Airways ( If for nothing else but fleet commonality)
Also, I think Air Sahara should merge with SpiceJet and convert itself into an LCC with primary hubs in DEL and CCU.
Deccan can have hub operations out of BOM, BLR, MAA.
SO my picture (approx 5 years hence) would be
AI+AIX+IC+CD (mix of trunk routes, LCC and international)
Jet (trunk routes and international)
KingFisher (limited trunk/International)
DN+Go+Indigo (domestic LCC West/South)
S2+OS (domestic LCC North/East) |
