Bonafide passengers are permitted to take photographs at all airports excluding defence airports. That's a notice which is up on the DGCA website, actually there are two circulars on this.

The wording in these circulars for tarmac ("on the ground") is ambiguous, and certainly provides for photography from an aircraft on the tarmac, airport, in the sky, everywhere and everything. Out of privacy issues, avoid photography of faces of crew and officials, except when there is a newsworthy situation. Like chaos at the pre-security line. Or sleeping officials. Or safety flaws like tankers bunkering without earth grounding.

Now if that includes photographys during the transit when headed from terminal to aircraft and back or not, is debateable, and I have argued successfully on this many times in the past.

Scheduled Pax can click pics from within the Aircraft but not at Defence Aerodromes.
Terminal Buildings are permitted.

Tarmac photography from the Tarmac is NOT permitted.

I think it is safe to assume that GO AIR and Air Sahara are not too far behind

Well it seems Karan S2 is interested to go out of the market, they want to sell and rush off before they close down and sell their purchased aircrafts or something.
Go Air is expecting its first own aircraft this year. And it has recruited more than 15 engineers mostly retired from IC/9W and some from DN also
With just 4-5 aircrafts they are interested to keep around 30 engg total.

GO will move out by next year latest as many have said they have only about 4 a/c left which are doing very few routes. Their load factors are quite okay but their on-time performance is miserable. a small problem can easily cause a delay. I flew GO last year. the flight was 45 mins late because they hadnt loaded the bags in the belly.

Small aspects are the killers.

How long before Go Air winds up Twisted Evil

And moderators, have the decency to update that post will be deleted, rather than just displaying a sense of arrogance and laludom policies.
