Yes, AFAIK, AI goes daily on HKG-DEL and 5x weekly on BOM-HKG, both very similar timings both non-stops on A310s

You are right.

It is indeed unfortunate AI could not have this market to itself , from BOM I mean. With the revised bialterals AI is going to be hit badly once again by 9W , IT. AI should enjoy it's short monopoly on the BOM - HKG route till their rivals come.

But remember Nalini Revised Bilateral doesnt gurantee 9W the HKG slots. I believe we all know that the first right for refusal lies with AI. Incase they dont have anything up their sleeve we would see 9W starting up its ops. Besides that i feel Jet wont be able to capture enough market share on the route because majority of the seats would anyways be enmarked for US bound pax. So anyone planning to use HKG as a hub for any other onward destination there would be limited help from Jet

Is that the routing of one flight or 2 seperate flights, because the way its mentioned it seems the aircraft will be doing a domestic segment as well which i feel will allow 9W IT even AI to milk the o&d market,

Or maybe its seperate BOM-HKG and HKG-MAA flights??

Is that a cargo flight?

Sure sounds like it.

Based on previous posts, Jet will use up 14 frequencies for BOM-HKG and DEL-HKG non-stops, and AI will use another 7 for BLR-HKG-SFO; that leaves 6 weekly services for the Indian side. Will IT use these on BLR-HKG?

I hope CX provides 4x weekly service to MAA.

BTW, how is AI doing on BOM/DEL-HKG-Japan/Korea flights?

On the HKG route they are limping thanks to the vintage A310,s they fly though they might be able to sell their inventory the point is AI is third class airline on the route. So i am sure people prefer one stop of TG,MH and SQ than flying AI. Offcourse for ppl with the time constraint they would fly CX Ex DEL but then the services are 4 days a week.

Good if Jet immediately starts its services to HKG .

NRT flights from DEL are direct on the combi,s i guess

ICN flight of AI i knw its on a A310 is that via HKG ????

Cathay Pacific said the agreement could see it double the number of flights it operates to New Delhi and Mumbai from the current four a week.

It won't it be a bad thing for AI to halt MUM-FRA-LAX flight and change it to MUM-HKG-LAX now that airlines can operate more flights to HKG. It'll be a viable option for AI and saves time.

Does it? Really?
I was checking block times for CX for HKG-LAX. They seem to be quite high. 12:25 outgoing and 14:25 return. That to me, is pretty high. The BOM-HKG-LAX should be equivalent to BOM-FRA-LAX, if these block times are indeed correct.
