Don't forget that AI flew the 742 and IA flew the Caravelle.
Also, the A330 never flew in IA colors. |

Now the Gati + AI Cargo 737 is officially designated as B732SF if I am not mistaken after the cargo conversion
The AIX 737s are all B738s. Do AIX have any 739ERs on order or are all the orders for the 738 operating type _________________ Learning is not compulsory. Neither is survival |

They are supposed to be listed in the new Air India shopping list for 100 more aircraft -- to help AIX do planned multi-hops across SE Asia and Africa (using Cairo as a base). |

Wow KCM you seem to have a knowledge of the planned routes on the planes even before they are ordered ... Any other inputs on what is being planned in this humongous order of 100 planes _________________ Learning is not compulsory. Neither is survival |

A320 family, ATRs, 787s are belived to be the mainstay. But the political situation is so fluid, anything may happen. Political trends in India always decide that large industrial orders are not advisable in an election year as there is the chance of corruption charges being brought up. |

What happened to rumors about the A380 or B748 family being considered _________________ Learning is not compulsory. Neither is survival |

Boeing did make a presentation on the 748 while Airbus did one for the A380.
But Prajay posted some time ago to say that the A380 and the A330 figure on the list as well and are under consideration.
About the A330, maybe it's the 9W, IT influence
But could also be because the NACIL board has more IA guys now. |

Finally saner heads prevail ... Hope they replace the entire inept lot of em' AI babus with IC airline professionals. If this ever happens AI could become a real competitive force _________________ Learning is not compulsory. Neither is survival |
