Thanks Karan-ji, for yet another entertaining part!
This starts with yet another of those planning conundrums which which most of us av-geeks face. 3 A380s leaving AKL in three hours: incredible!
Nice descriptions of the the Koru lounge. Near-offload EY experience: can you tell us more on this? A TR, perhaps?
The CI F&B offerings look very nice. Can I register a formal request to post the SYD-TPE menu as well?
Now starts the eager wait for Part 3!
Cheers, Sumantra. |

Super continuation, Karan!
Ahhh, India vs SA. I know some people of a certain country who were rather unhappy with the result of the game
DXB is a headache. Especially T3 - impressive mall, but us avgeeks won't like it. Add to that, EK A380s and B777s everywhere.......
Honestly, even CMB's modest airport is lovely (and the fact that UL planes are always parked might have something to do with it )
The China Airlines experience looks good - although, I'm glad I chose BR for my HKG-TPE-HKG flights because of the MD90 and B74E..
What other tea was on offer? Oolong tea?
Great pics too, thanks for sharing!
Regards

Wonderful 2nd innings and very surprised to see China Airlines like an underdog providing superb service.
The Koru lounge is simply magnificent with the spread and space.
Also very smart move of you to choose an airline using fifth freedom rights to fly to another country. A few years ago I had quite a few options out from Singapore to take alternate airlines to other countries unfortunately the numbers have dwindled. From what I know off I can only take KLM to Bali and I think Emirates to Australia as alternate options.

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate your valuable feedback,
@ SumantraJi
The EY experience is something i dont like reliving so do not want to be in the webworld, however whenever we do meet will narrate the incident to you...
As requested by you........do you want me to put the wine menu as well?
@Ameya
Thanks for reading and appreciating the effort
@JiB
Thanks Jishnu,
Infact when i booked CI you were the first person that came to my mind given your EVA adventure.
The other tea choices are mentioned in the menu, the pic of which is posted in the TR, and yes Oolong is a part of it
@Sri
you seem to get what i am saying accurately and i personally couldnt think of a better description than calling them an "underdog" as you say yourself
Yeah your choices have certainly gone down , until recetly you could have done QR and not a long time back, AY ,LX and BG as well
to your list you do have BA to SYD

CI and BR are two hidden gems of Asia (along with UL )
@Sri - Emirates from Singapore to Colombo! You do not want to miss visiting this paradise!
