Just finished watching "Take-Off" on BBC World, and even before the end credits, knew it was MidiTech. Repeat shots (Saw VT-AIB and VT-ADI at least 6 times each, same shots), stock footage from indigo and GoAir promos, vapid feeds from the usual suspects like Damania and Kapil Kaul, and breathless ones from young "analysts" trotting out Boeing and Airbus numbers.

Poor programme, but will watch since there is nothing else!

Yesterday i saw the third installment of the series. Inspite of the FIA being there in which all airlines are united i could see the divide btween the LCC operaters and full service airlines..

Gopi was pointing out that hw full service airlines would operate their flight 1 hr before and after his flight and wud discard inventory at very low prices. He said their core competency lies in flying ppl frm point A to point B at a cheap cost and on time.

Jeh Wadia seemed to be talking sense and told hw empty seats on an aircraft is the most perishable commodity and the moment that flight operates with those empty seats its gone..

It is also shown on Sunday mornings. It's either 1100 hrs or 1200 hrs.

I saw the program today as well.

I agree Jeh Wadia was talking sense. Esp the analogy he made about full service carriers that they were trying to sell a Merc for the price of a Maruti, which is why they were losing out.

Also does anyone else think that Kapil Kaul seems to be contradicting himself.

Cheers

If you have Tata Sky you can easily look up the timings. To begin with, Sunday 1100 and 2200 IST and a few more.
The last episode will start on Sunday Apr 8.
My impression of the last two episodes is that they are interesting, but regular readers of this forum will not learn anything new.
