Looks like AI's Y product on the 777 is very satisfactory - On time, good legroom, decent IFE and what looks like a good Indian meal. It's pretty much what you'd expect on EK (other than the 5000 channels on the IFE), for a lower price. |

Nice report, Sandeep - thanks for sharing it with us!
Some points:
- the not-so-full cabins would be worrisome for AI, on the LHR legs
- Your pic of the AA 777 behind the long jetway at LHR is quite surreal - for a moment, it looked like a plane being somewhere there: one could see the engines, but the fuselage?
- You got some nice catches: an AI 332 at DEL, and a Biman 737 in the new colours at CCU!
- the chicken curry does look at bit oily (LHR-DEL). But the sweet-corn-and-spinach on the DEL-CCU leg looks great (and usually is delicious!)
- Good to see some tarmac pics from CCU!
- You used the new runway 11-29 on your onward trip, and the secondary one 9-27 on the trip back. Nice views!
Cheers, Sumantra. |
