Hello people

My dad is booked on the inaugural flight on the DOH - IAD in july

Just wanted to ask has anyone been on any inaugural routes of any airline?

If so kindly post your experiences

I have been on the inaugural 9W flight:

LHR - DEL on the A330 last summer.

DEL - LHR - DEL was then operated by both A340-300/A330-200 and even now i think

I've not been on the innaugural flight, but on the 2nd flight of LH from Kolkata to Frankfurt on December 5, 2006.

Lot of distinguished German people who came to Kolkata from Germany on the innaugural flight went back to Germany by this second flight.

Ground preparations were very interesting, and all ground staff were in the learning (let's see how to do it all by myself) mode.

Crew were the ones who flew the innaugural FRA-CCU flight, who where evidently carefully chosen from among Lufthansa's prime league.

It was an excellent experience.

I've been on Go Air's inaugural flight - and not just inaugural flight for a particular route.

The route was BOM-AMD back in Nov 2005. Had got tickets at INR 499 plus INR 221 taxes Very Happy
