|
|
Today's a very sad day in the History of Civil Aviation the World Over.....
The B747-400 Production has finally ended after years of Carrying Millions of Passengers and Tonnes of Cargo, after Capturing the Images of Milions of DigiCamera Persons........
747-400 passenger jet is no more.
But orders for different versions of plane will keep Boeing busy
After a production run of more than 450 planes, The Boeing Co. has built its final 747-400 passenger jet.
The last four planes still on the company's order books have been removed in a hush-hush deal that saw Philippine Airlines switch its order to the 777.
Those two 777-300ERs for Philippine Airlines were among 46 new jetliners that Boeing added to its 2007 order tally Thursday, including 26 787 Dreamliners. At list prices, those 46 planes are worth about $9 billion. But customers typically get discounts of 25 percent or more off the sticker price.
Although Boeing will not build any more 747-400 passenger planes, it's hardly the end of the line for the 747. |

Although the production of the 747-400 has ended, we are still going to see the 747-8 take to the skies!!
So, its more like the end of production of an older version.
Long live the 747! |

The dominance of B747 in the international aviation will continue for a very long time with their new 747-800s.Soon we'll see the current 744 operaters switching to the 748s. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

Every ferw years we hear about the end of the 747. Thank God its not true.
Something even more amazing is emerging
--- the 747-8.
The 747 is truly the Queen of the Skies. Boeing will never let her fade away. |

Proven from the fact that The AI Livery on the B747 always looked better than it on other models.
