A recent trip on Kingfisher RED.
A few observations:
The flight was a regular Kingfisher aircraft which means the front few rows are Kingfisher First albeit with regular red service.
complimentary food and water.
seatback IFE.
1 hour flight both ways.
The timings are rubbish. Should be early morning or late night, not early afternoon.
Rs8000 fare for both IT red and 9wKonnect.

final conclusion, The flight is better than travelling on JetKOnnect (as you get frills) for the same fare but unless your in a hurry its a waste of money, i strongly suggest saving your money and taking the overnight train from Bandra to Bhuj for 1/10 of the fare. |

17 hours on the train - overnight ofcourse ....... or flight - well many people still prefer the flight!
IR on Mumbai- Bhuj trundles at 50 km/hr. Another 5 km/hr speed and you could have travelled in a IR superfast train!!!!
Regarding the timings - there is a KF Red ATR early morning from BOM to Kandla which as you know is in the same area! So there is an alternate available. |

Does this mean those seats had more legroom and increased seat pitch? |

luckily i only paid Rs1000 round trip due to a staff ticket. I was looking at normal tickets for my father but he would not let me purchase it whilst he could get IR for 1/10. I guess each to their own.
Honestly, i cannot justify paying Rs8000 for a 1 hr flight whist i can get the train.
If i had a rigid timeframe, then i would pay and fly but otherwise for this particular route, the train is sufficient for my needs. |

BHJ sector has been getting a KF aircraft for quite a while now, though the sector is a KF-Red one.
Few lucky people get to seat in the front seats and enjoy the KF-First seats. But evrybody gets KF-Red meal.
Guess the same happens on 9W-Konnect at times, when you get a dual class a/c on 9W-Konnect flights |

Nice clear weather and the airport at BHJ also looks nice. I suppose its a civil terminal of some IAF base |
