Quote: | Each group usually consists of a smart alec, who has been on a similar trip before and is showering the others with his precious words of wisdom - which usually is a load of BS (and I just noticed I used an unusually high number of "usually"!!) !! A gem tht I overheard this time around - "Indian Airlines and Jet Airways have "small flights" which cannot cross the sea, thats why you should travel in Thai"!! |
This one takes the cake! And yes, I have seen such people myself.
But no PTV- unlike AI or 9W.
Nice TR, thanks for posting!

I had met somebody around an year ago, when IC/AI flights were disrupted. This lady was travelling on the flight Tokyo-Delhi-Bombay, from NRT to BOM.
Because of disruptions, they were shifted from widebody aircraft ( A310 ? ) to A320 at DEL and sent to BOM.
She was telling everybody in Marathi, " Ticket kadhla mothya wimanacha ani pathawla chotya wimanani, paise parat dile pahije tyani " which translates as
" We bought ticket of big plane and they sent us by small plane, they should give refund for this " |

Good to see white lighting on the A330s. Is that a standard on this type of A/C?
Lovely TR. And quite a detailed one! Thanks. |

Lovely TR. Regarding LCD TV's its almost half the price of what you get in India. So no wonder people like to take one, which I have done myself.
LCD TV, Flying Helicopters and electric rice cookers are three hot items that I often see being checked in at Singapore airport too by tourists and blue collar friends, mostly on flights headed to Bangalore, Trichy, and Madras.
