Could not agree more - Pearl cannot be beat. It's by far the best PDA for web/email. |

Hutch provides it as well. I recently saw a great deal for the Pearl - if you're a member of "Metro Cash and Carry" then you can get the Hutch/Pearl for 15K all inclusive including a year's data contract etc.
It's 2 letters per key, and no touch screen. There's a PDF reader for the pearl, though it does not come bundled in the base Airtel firmware. |

yes Mel, i have Adobe PDF reader on my n80 and can open pdf docs provided they are not those huge massive ones that will work out a good PC let alone a cellphone.... but mostly its not an issue.
the N80 has been advertised to be selling around 19K in the showrooms... grey market is a bit cheaper...
the only drawback i would say is the lack of an autofocus camera for the 3 megapixel spec it boasts but since i always prefer to click at a higher res and edit it with photoshop... i guess its not a big deal if you know how to get your shots... and if taken well... the lack of AF doesnt really bother me at all.. nevertheless they should have had it with AF... and on a side note... Bluetooth 2.0 instead of the older 1.2 spec..
the last bit would be a cover for the camera lens.. apart from these... its a lovely phone! _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

the screen resolution is actually superb... its one of the most sharpest and clearest i have ever seen...
read up reviews of the n80 on the net... many consider the res to be better if not as good as the n93! you also have the option of changing font size/zooming when browsing.. sharpness is not an issue. _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

D-ABTH there's a vast difference in the price ranges of the n93 and n80, and in the n80's range i feel its damn good... although even the n73 is there but i don't know hos much professional is that _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

so much ambiguity.
can we have a decent and suggestive (not opinionated) base for ideas for the phone
we can have it in the form of a table which includes
name of model price officially price in grey personal rating |

What software does the N80 use for PDF files. Also how is page changing over done. The reason is I wanted to use it to view a lot of pages,so moving though pages is necessary.

hi sorry about the late reply... but its pretty normal... it loads the page and shows u the page numbers and you basically just go through the pages and it will go to the next page automatically..
you will just have to zoom in enough to read the writing... but i guess thats for any phone _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

Used the o2 xda earlier, won in a lottery... its outdated now, but one thing though o2 is damn good, its pretty expensive...like if u lose the stylus it was around 450 bucks, had to replace the screen every 6 months (im sure my use was lesser than mel) and the screen costed around 700-800 bucks.
Worst if anything goes wrong there are no authorised stores in BOM. They're all self proclaimed authorised.
Go for i-Mate or HP in my opinion. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

Finally bought the Dopod 818 pro, and must say that I'm absolutely in love with it. Runs on windows mobile 5, with a 2MP cam, word, excel, ppt installed. Bluetooth & wi-fi ready.
Connecting & using the wi-fi is a piece of cake. Good battery life. For someone like me who practically eats & sleeps while on the phone, just need to charge it once in 1 1/2 - 2 days.
The only drawback : no GPS. would've been nice to have it in it. Anyway, can't expect too much from its price tag of Rs. 25k. Managed to buy it for Rs. 20k.
