Hi Nimish, you have to do your job: I know. You are the moderator, and so I would put forward a suggestion to you and other moderators that any kind of Regionalism and/or posting discrminatory material intending to stoke regionalism or to hurt the sentiments of persons of any region, be banned as well and the members indulging in such acts be banned as well.
After all, though I am not based in India, many members are and many moderators are, and this is the Law of India that speech or actions intending to hurt the sentiments of any particular region or community is a punishable offence. Maybe adhering to the laws of India is a good idea? And besides, stoking regionalism or hurting the sentiments of a particular region or community on the internet is also just as illegal. So I would suggest that Moderators have a vital role to fullfill to ensure that such blatant anti Eastern-region comments coming from one particular source, which has gone on unchecked for quite a while in this forum, is hereby strictly curbed and the law is adhered to.
Just a thought. Thanks for your time. |

I think this is already outlined and if not, already understood without saying. Almost every professional forum on the net has these guidelines as standard. _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

Before bringing that up, you should first consider refining your language. From your opening post till yesterday/today all of us has seen what content you have posted. Regionalism, grouping et al if is wrong, then abusing a person on a public forum is equally wrong and needs to be addressed first. the moderators might have cleaned the words, but many of us have read what exactly you had originally posted. A person outrightly breaking rules first and then giving us gyaan on regionalism ... something wrong here.
If you did this in retaliation, there are MANY who have retaliated to this but used a much better way to do that. |

HiRider267 - thanks for your post above.
1. Please read the rules of the forum - those are the rules which are applicable here. Let's all try and follow those rules, or don't log in if anyone feels they are above those rules.
2. There are specific rules against personal attacks - which you seem to happily ignore when it suits you.
3. India is a nation of many parts, and each part has it's own flavour. At the end of the day - India comes first to me (personally), and then the regional flavor.
4. Indians generally have a great sense of humor and hence there's nothing seen as objectionable about the thousands of Sardar, Bhaiyya, Bihari or Madrasi jokes that do the rounds. Or even the numerous Indian vs. Britisher vs. American jokes that do the round. Those are never quoted as "examples of flaming regional hatred" are they? Don't tell me you've never heard one of those?
5. Frankly - I've seen nothing "anti-Indian" or "anti-Eastern Region" in any posts on this forum. Of course I could be wrong - and am happy to be corrected with facts and rule numbers.
6. Having your cake and eating it too - this is exactly what you've been doing all along by referring to "bundbay" and then the personal attacks the other day - while at the same time complaining to the mods about "attacks on a region". Please choose one or the other - either retaliate in kind (which we don't encourage) or talk to the mods (which is what we'd prefer), but not both.
Bottom line - the mods believe that you have lost the moral right to complain after the completely uncalled for personal attacks. This forum is about aviation, and let's stay focused on that, and leave any regional chauvinism out of this forum.
With warm regards from a cold city (Geneva)

All I'd like to say is "Everyone can be brave behind a computer screen"
This forum was set up to discuss Aviation & bring together common topic thinking individuals. At times instead of retaliation its better to give an opportunity to the other side to explain things.most often the tension vanishes.
I'm sure everyone gets affected by something depending on the topic & mood at that time, but finally if there is no forum,it makes no sense.
Debate with facts & use the correct language & one will be listened to out here.
I'm sure all members on this forum want to get along.
regds
