There are pilots amongst us but dont expect them to reveal their identities. Which is fair enough!!! Some people choose to be anonymous.
But you could ask your questions most of them should get answered here.

Respecting their privacy, i would suggest that if a readers oberserves the posts made, one can identify who is a PIC and who is not.
Remember, Be curious always, for knowledge will not capture you, you must capture it _________________ I love the smell of Jet Fuel in the morning. |

its not only pilots who like to keep a low profile.. a lot of people like to do so.. simply because the internet age does have its share of vices and really i always say.. personal interaction is always a more welcome experience than an electronic one! _________________ If it aint Boeing.. Hiding ones Identity may not be the Issue, rather What they post might be.Airline Employees have a lot of detailed Info but cannot comment on certain details unfortunately.

I value your respect and assure you of valuable posts and insight at all times.
I salute thee once again.
NOW BACK TO THE TOPIC:
There are people here on our forum, when initially i asked them for their contact numbers ( An initiative taken by 380 in print), people replied to me through pms that they were their official numbers, and they would prefer to use the email and or the pm option. And the irony is that the same people fuss about identities, what a scarlett attitude _________________ I love the smell of Jet Fuel in the morning. |

i am not aware of that though i have always maintained i perfer to keep a no-profile
i love to help but i really dont like any fuss over identity.. i will gladly provide help and information wherever i can and within limits both personal and professional.. however i do value privacy and respect others choice for the same. _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

JJ....I know I did revert to your PM & said that I had an official number, which I cannot share.to whch you reverted that you understand.
Remember it takes time to know people.
But if you recollect I also told you on your later query on how we could meet up on a Thursday,I said send a pm if you need my personal no & I'll give it,but the pm never came.
Remember
I still stick to. that Official numbers are official numbers & there are certain SOPs on that.
On the topic I'm referring to as Why some people know things and cannot post details has no connection with not giving ones contact. You are mixing the two issues.
I don't hide my Identity, but def restrict myself in the Information I post.I know the reason why.
I don't know who the other people that hurt you are,if they are others.
cheers

I'm a private pilot, currently building time for my CPL |
30 years and 40 kilos ago I was competent and entitled to fly a glider, but not any more, though I did put some photos of gliders up on our flickr group.
Also, I have more than a few pilots in the family, and sometimes carry views as well as inputs gleaned from them.
+++
Also, I don't follow what JumboJet / D-ABTH / Hawk are talking about on this interact!! |

Have you ever flown in these gliders or were just a spectator _________________ I love the smell of Jet Fuel in the morning. |

Late 70s, yes, I flew gliders. Pupil initially, and then just a few solos before I left.
Earlier last month, I was a spectator. Overweight now, so unless I knock off at least 30 kilos, I am not going to be able to fly a glider anymore. |

Well selecta, you already know this.
I'm working on my commercial multi certificate. I got my private certificate in 2005, multi engine and instrument rating in 2006.
I'm starting an upset training course this Friday (mild aerobatic maneuvers) _________________ eP007 |
