Hi,
Heres some pics (bit dated now) from my OCT trip to KBFI & KPAE.
As the first rays of sun hits the 'paint shop', one -200 (TG) and three -300 (AI, CX, & First Qatari) awaits for some more preflight tests.
Shot at midnight as extensive engine tests were being carried out during the entire night!
"Birth of an airliner". One waits, and waits and waits, and then here she comes!. First Qatari -300 being rolled over the famous
overpass to the paint shop. ( I-5 passing under the road!)
Can you hold still for a sec... nope gotta get new clothes!
Now onto Boeing Field, we had unusal visitor that stayed few days there. "Lima Delta" aka "Gujarat" was doing the
extended range ops test for Boeing with extra fuel tanks installed (longest range -200LR ~ 9400nm)
Love them colors on fine engines.
Here she blasts off in chilly fall afternoon for yet another 2.5 hour sorite
Last but not the least, 9W had 2 deliveries that week, heres one on actual delivery flight taking to skies for Gander.
Cheers |

Photography is fairly easy at both fields, if done responsibly. KPAE (78, 77 & 74 production line) was very boring as we had only one jetliner movement in 24 hours (we did miss the 3rd Air India 77 departure as we were in Boeing tour bus ) And BFI is fine as far as you stay away from Boeing side and just take rwy action shots. |
