The Best Place at TRV is the Road bridge Near Runway 32 threshold.....it is directly on the approach and u can not only see and hear the acfts, u can smell em too

The bridge would be just below the nose at this point in this picture.
But the only catch is.....I'm not too sure if you can take photographs there |

What I could suggest is take a look at the airport on Wikimapia. You could probably narrow down some spots by scanning the areas around the airport. Then take a drive around the shortlisted areas, to finalize on a location.
Best of luck!!!! _________________ My Flickr photos

Most of the shots are from the bridge our pilot mentioned.
I've seen a You tube link, looks like a good spot, never been there, you can see the road on google earth (seems like a rd from vallakadavu).

The only place where they have no photography signs displayed are near the shangumugom side till the fire station where the have the airforce base. |

Thanks for the inputs! I sometimes pass by the end of the runway, that is also a nice spotting area, I guess. Especially on Wednesdays when AI 744 comes in from Riyadh.
Also, I mentioned that I can see planes from my house in the introduction thread. I got some videos on YouTube. My account is Plane747.

Please watch the videos, if you have the time to spare. _________________ Boeing 747! |
