The AAI will build the runway which will be 1,700 m long. To complete it, completion, it may take anywhere between 12 and 18 months.

KCM,
Are the 2nd and the third fotos of the same a/c because in the 2nd foto the engine seems to be on the nose of the a/c but in the third its on the wings, and AFAIK the third one looks like an ATR, so wht a/c is in the 2nd pic?

Negative
The first and second pics. are of a Pilatus PC-12
And I think the last is an older Piper Seneca, could be wrong though. _________________

Three aircraft were used.
One belonged to Deccan Aviation. Another one belongs to a business house with links to the Mysore Royal family.
Third one is a blank! |

Aah, that explains it thanks. I was confused because the text above the pictures mentions ATR.
Thanks for clarifying.

Is the rwy just a dirt strip now? I tried looking for the airport during my visit to Mysore. Nobody was able to give me the precise location. _________________ Save Maharashtra! |

380,
Mysore has got an IATA code and is an offline station of Indian Airlines.
Much later Vayudoot had operations there and then stopped. Mysore Maharajah was a patron and continues to play a role.
Himmat, airport is close to the railway station. |
