Hi guys:
Just wanted to share with you what a great "social" medium airliners.net and this site are. Well, the story begins a few months ago when i was looking to find out the names of the pilots on the A380 whose picture i had.
So a simple post on a.net managed to get me that answer from a nice guy called Raphael, who i eventually got to know as we chatted over email and things. Turns out, he works for Airbus and is some high ranked employee in the marketing section of Airbus.
As i am required to intern with a lawyer, firm or company for a month each sememter i decided to take a shot and ask Raphael if he could arrange somethign for me in the Airbus legal department. He graciously asked his friend Derek , who replied saying that they dont accept interns for less than 3 months (far too long for me to take).
So anywyas a few days ago i wrote back to Derek again, who very sweetly replied and told me to contact the head of "Sales Contracts", Mr. Jean-Paul. On doing so i got a very positive reply, saying that i was welcome at Airbus and that i would work under him and the 8 lawyer who assist him in preparing contracts pertaining to aircraft deliveries.
So i am totally delighted, because first of all i love airbus, and second of all, working on aircraft delivery contracts is right up my alley! And ofcourse thirdly, i get to add a giant like Airbus on my resume!
So my point is that you can make some great connections thru these sites and with the help of other aviation nuts like us!
Btw, im in law school forgot to mention that earlier. I have to admit, it feels good, because there was no real safarish or anything involved to get this job.
Ofcourse, Raphael says he will show me around the assembly and thing since i will be an official "trainee" with Airbus!
Look out for pics of TLS early next year (internship is for the whole of Jan 0
Warm regards
Nitin |

Congratulations!
I don't know if they will let you take pics inside the Jean Luc building or the other assembly buildings. But as always if you do, we expect to see them _________________ eP007 |

Thats brilliant.... hope you have a great time in understanding aircraft contracts and once you come back may be you could share some knowledge with us too, so that we could also use some legal terms while we go out in the market to take the delivery of not aircrafts though but may be bhaaaji tarkari...... just kidding.... All the best _________________ When the world says give up.. Hope whispers try it one more time. |
