Kingfisher Airlines will start its service from Indore to Kolkata from May 9, says a UNI report.
Permission has been granted for the Indore-Kolkata flight via Raipur and Bhubaneshwar.
The flight will arrive from Kolkata at 1530 hrs and leave at 1600 hrs.
Kingfisher has also launched a flight to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from Indore. |

CCU-BBI-RPR-IDR? Must be an ATR routing and this could point to an ATR deployment by IT ex-CCU.
Now anyone willing to take a bet on when IC will be withdrawing IC169 (BOM-RPR-BBI)? I would say sometime next month.
Come on! Bets are open! _________________ http://www.cougar-rides.com

Well said Roy... but this won't happen hopefully... actually i was thinking of the same... but possibilities are very less for that... and if it happens then it clearly prove that this is yet another money paid route _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

Yeah: an A319 re-deployment I think. With more A320's flying now, many routes formerely op-ped with A319's are shifting back to A320's for capacity reasons. That should leave atleast 2 A319's spare. I think one of them ex-DEL could do these addl Del to gujarat flights.
I think they should deploy on of their spare A319's out of PNQ. KF and 9W are already basing one 73G and 2x319 respectively for their early morning BLR and DEL departures.
IC should also deploy an A319 atleast to block slots at PNQ. And we could do with some competition on PNQ-DEL and PNQ-BLR: EARLY morning 6am departure and late evening BLR-PNQ.
2 potenital routings: PNQ-BLR-DEL-IXJ-SXR-DEL-BLR-PNQ
or
PNQ-DEL-CCU-GAU & vv _________________ http://www.cougar-rides.com

IT is not planning a Raipur-Bhubaneshwar service. the Schedule thats listed on the site basically hsa this schedule for the ATR that will operate
Kolkata-Bhubaneshwar-Kolkata in the morning
Kolkata-Raipur-Indore-Raipur-Kolkata in the afternoon
Kolkata-Bhubaneshwar-Kolkata in the evening
So basically a day return facility for Bhubaneshwar consumers and a day filler route in the afternoon...dont know if Ccu-Raipur-Indore is such a big market..
Kingfisher has built a reputation for such routes and withdrawn them in months (Ahmedabad-Jammu springs to mind)
Also, after annoucing a slew of ATR routes from Chennai (Chennai_Madurai, Chennai-Trichy, Chennai-Coimbatore), they seem to have withdrawn them almost immediately..which is rather strange
The other oddball route they have started is an ATR route from Hyd
Hyd-Nagpur-Indore-Ahmedabad-Nagpur-Ahmedabad-Indore-Nagpur-Hyd
i Would hate to go Hyd-Ahmedabad like this spending over 5 hours in an ATR !
