It will be *very* interesting to see 9W choose and add additional flights out of BRU - to maximize the potential of a true scissors hub. I would imagine that their next move would be to connect one of BLR/MAA to another American city, maybe choosing a 332 for the route instead of the 773ER (given 9W's traditional opinion of BLR/MAA being smaller/secondary markets). Each additional service they launch has the potential to benefit all the cities in each continent - the true benefit of their scissors hub! |

from a jet airways press release
"In the future, Jet Airways plans to operate a total of ten daily flights from Brussels between cities in India and cities in USA and Canada. Subject to government approvals, Jet Airways plans to additionally operate from Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Chennai to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York (JFK), via its Brussels hub. "
Therefore these sectors will kick off as and when 9W gets their 777s and 330s.
My guess - Blr-Bru-Lax-Bru-Blr on a 77W, Ahd-Bru-Ord-Bru-Ahd on a 332 and Maa-Bru-JFK-Bru-Maa on a 332.
It could also be possible that they park an aircraft in Bru to do Bru-Lax-Bru and thus separate it from Blr. |
