I can just imagine an Airbus-380 operating in full economy configuration for Air Deccan. Free seating, and a route like Gorakhpur, Patna, Ranchi or Varanasi to Mumbai or Surat, should be wonderful. And then pulled out for Hajj Charters, for those who know what goes on aboard those flights, welcome.

They need to figure out how to conduct headcount and turnaround before they are allowed to even think of bringing an A-380 in all economy configuration. Anywhere in the world.

Gopinath is convinced that Air Deccan can offer fares that are lower than what are charged by the Rajdhani Express trains if they operate the A380 aircraft

Just wondering what size aircraft would they need to compete the 2nd class fares Rolling Eyes

They've just bought 23 of the latest most modern 777s available. Which being 777s make them de facto the most modern and superior aircraft available.

True. However, these brand new state of the art aircraft will soon look many years older than they actually are, with the famous Air India maintenance treatment......

Ai just doesn't know how to maintain aircraft interiors well. A pity, these new birds will look old and tacky very soon once the lazy useless unionized engineering staff get to "maintain" them.

The passengers don't seem to care either treating the aircraft like some sort of ST bus.
