Oman Air has launched flights to Lucknow, its seventh destination in India, says a UNI report.
The Omani national carrier will fly thrice a week to the Uttar Pradesh capital and would raise its frequency to four from June.
It is now flies to six destinations in India -- Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad and Delhi.
The company said it would also start flights to Jaipur from June.

Oh great Govt of India and MoCA!

Please let Indian private carriers also fly to the gulf, there's no reason that a IT or 9W cannot fly JAI - MCT the way Oman Air can! Stop handing over our national interests to other airlines in the name of protecting AI and IC...

Our Govt's short-sightedness is handing over the cake to the Mid-East carriers, most of whom are getting fat on Indian traffic. Time to share the cake around with Indian carriers too.

Cheers

At this rate if it goes it won't be very long where we'll see mid-eastern carriers operating to other major cities in India.India has good bilateral relations with middle-east countries which directly reflects in the no.of flights we have b/w these two regions.
