Hi All,

You maybe aware by now with the ICAO's implementation of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAGs) effective from 1 March 07, just wondering how things are managed in India?

Any views pls...

I think its not a problem unless you get in in ur registered baggage... as far as hand baggage is concerned, i've seen so many expensive perfume bottles with those security people lying there... Confused
And a certain amount of some liquids like medicines/baby foods etc is permitted

frankly... its all down to the mood of the particular CISF batch on duty... half of them get confused themselves with the plastic bag rule and the total volume allowed... if ur confident enough you might get away with a lil more than whats allowed.. but in either which case.. if your stopover is in EU.. and you leave the EU for onward destinations... you wont get away with it there.

so in all essence..just take whats allowed and the rest goes into check-in

you can buy it.. but you will not be given immediate posession, instead you leave the items with the storekeeper giving your seat number, gate and airline you're flying and your boarding time (usually they know), you go through security check and the storekeeper or his helper will come to the gate and hand them over to you just before you board.

Sorry guys was busy with work, thus didn't managed to login frequently.

Well here in SIN, LAGs will be implemented on 8th May 2007 (1200Hrs) to be exact. Changi is getting ready for this in advance...

Guess when will India will impose this. Here in SIN before the implementation, only AI/AIX has such restrictions as opposed to IC, S2 or 9W.
