India is not losing the race to China. It lost the race a long time ago.

In 20 years, China will be on the cusp of being a First World nation. In 20 years, India will still be blaming hapless Biharis for all its ills..

Indeed; we're so far behind, it's going to be impossible to catch up. As much as we talk about growth, in many ways we're regressing, all things considered.

And besides blaming the Biharis (and the Muslims and Pakistan and "Western Culture" and Cinderella) we will embark upon a collective recitation about democracy and values and burst into a rapturous exaltation of our glorious past (which hasn't really been glorious since antiquity).
