|
|
Ok as this is information i have received from one o fmy friends who works with VAYU magazine, i had a long conversation with him yesterday and he was telling me how he was talking to the SQ guys and asking them when they are receiving their A380. They replied saying that it should come later this year and when asked about the Kangaroo Route, they said initially they are seriously thinking about flying it on the SIN to DEL sector for things such as training the crew and getting them familiar with the aircraft.
This is a very exciting prospect if true, do you think it is possible?
Thanks

I think Lufthansa is also interested in deploying A380 on Indian routes. _________________ Nalini... The Princess of the Sky... You are a star which will continue to illuminate your own A.net-India forever... |

How does it matter ? Im sure LH won't operate its first A380 on this route, their first aircrafts will be definately deployed in the US routes.
EK is going to be the first airline to operate A380 flights into india... most probably COK _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

Doesn’t really concern LH, but it does matters if SQ want to fly into DEL for their (maybe) proposed training and crew familiarization flights. _________________ eP007 |

But im sure SQ will probably deploy its 6th or 7th A380 into the Indian route... and there's a lot of time till that, as it is work at DEL is quite fast _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

Gud for DEL if A380 comes in here bt i guess this wont happen till the new Code F runway comes into picture . Becoz anyways the plane can be parked in remote stand with pax, luggage and cargo buzzed to the aircraft.
I believe EK LH & SQ have evinced intrest in operating A380 to DEL _________________ Expeditors- You'd be surprised how far we will go for you www.expeditors.com |

Actually I thought the a380 could land on a code E runway.
As far as I know code F is an ICAO recommendation, but there’s no real compulsion.

The crew will be trained, yes of course but anytime an airline starts service with a new aircraft type (especially if it’s the launch customer) it’s bound to throw something unexpected at them. SQ should and will expect to have early teething problems with the a380s. _________________ eP007 |

I have a feeling it will be quite less, because a lot of issues like wiring, etc were detected by Airbus before they started the delivery already....but u never know anything... _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

honestly mate.. forget about it... in general India is a likely A380 destination and for obvious reasons DEL and BOM will be the most likely stations to see it if at all.. but like i said.. it was speculation then and its speculation now.
There are a lot more things to be sorted and finalised before we bring her here, immediate plans and especially operational deployment to India ASAP has not been disclosed nor is likely unless the infrastructure develops massively most importantly.. and then other factors. _________________ If it aint Boeing..
