CDG must be a crew base for AI given their BOM-CDG-EWR flights. Is there any particular reason they did not have crew at CDG to complete the second leg of the flight back from Barbados? |

The flight was originally scheduled to do a return leg. Hence bookings for the return leg must have been started by travel agents. Later as India exited the world cup, some bookings were withdrawn and after a loy of juggling. the return flight was changed to a ferry. The people who had paid the money for the return flight did not know that the flight has been cancelled due to lack of communication by travel agents. Subsequently, many such passangers turned at the airport for catching a return flight and Barbados authorirties started making last minute requests to carry the return passangers. However, AI wasn't able to provide them with crew and hence it returned as a ferry only. |
