As of February 2007,they have 11 B737-800 (plus 15 on order)and on order are the new B737-900 ER.

Out of those 11 B737-800,I think 5 of them are leased.

In 2005 they placed a firm order for B737-800( with 10 options). On feb 2006 they announced that they will convert 10 options into firm orders for 5 B737-900 ER and 5 B737-800s.

SG is the hidden star IMO. The little quiet boy who sits queitly in class and emerges from behind to be the winner.

Efficent, on time operations. Low-costs but not low on class: even some film-actors are regularly seen on their flights which testifies to their image.

AKA Chuppa Rustam.

I agree with Cougar, SG feels classy (look-wise and the in-flight experience) as compared to Go Air (can't comment on Indigo, not experienced it as yet).

where do they plan to use their ER's? If I am not wrong then they are aiming at Middle East or SE Asia market. Where else will they use these birds?

I have travelled once in SG and i must say that i am quite impressed with their service. Although their flight was not on time both ways, they made it up by their service.

Cheers

It pays to be Discrete & Expand gradually as loads determines. All those that have done so have succeeded.Whether Commercial ops or Freighters Smile

I have flown both SpiceJet and Indigo and find them very similar. Good aircraft, on time performance, alloted seats and no-nonsense service. On some SG flights, I have noticed that their leather seats have taken quite a beating and look similar to DN seats!! 6E has regular seats and not leather seats, but the planes are newer compared to SG. I think 6E will give good competition to SG. And 6E appears to have better timings compared to SG, atleast on BLR-HYD sectors. 6E has flights leaving BLR at 7:30am and leaving Hyd at 7:00pm which suits people well. SG has some odd timings.

Both 6E and SG flights on the BLR-HYD sector appear to be doing quite good load wise. The 7:30 BLR-HYD flight has been full both times that I have taken it.

Any proof to such a claim or the break up as to hw much a pilot is being paid would be appreciable.

Me too. Flown once. As promised. Totally no frills. Good stuff. Nice aircrafts. On time (presumably because of morning flights)

Actually apart from SG only non-traditional airline I've ever flown is NEPC Damania, before it folded down.

But then when flying Jet for the 1st time it was a newbie on the block. Smile
