... because the skies above are clear again!
and the sun is shining here again!
On account of the first glorious, sunny, rain-free day in what feels like a lifetime, I am in a great mood.
To celebrate the long-awaited re-appearance of blue skies, I promise not to bitch about Jet Airways for at least 24 hours!
Just thought I'd share. _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

It was Blue from Saturday morning onwards. May not last though ! Last year we were soaking in deep into October, accompanied on some days by lots of haze/smoke. Sorry to spoil your happiness. |

Even a few days of respite goes a long way! Whilst it rained again last night, at lease there were two clear days to alleviate the gloom.
And please don't bring up compares with last year. It was awful - the rain went on until the beginning of December. I was so close to hara-kiri.
By the way, I almost broke my promise only a few hours after I made it. I was at the signal and this adorable looking beggar girl called me "uncle." Nearly destroyed my great mood! _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

Wow, the title of the post had me thinking for a moment that Air India had been liquidated, and all AI fanatics and apologists had been sent to work for Iran Air.

I guess the AI fanatics and apologists would be better off working for AI than Iran air _________________ HamiltonAir |

I think some of the AI fanatics should be made to work for AA and based at DFW. The tamilians there will then have the enhanced pleasure of being served by the fat and racist North Indian aunties on their already pleasurable MD-80 flights. It can be called the GOI's gift to the Indian diaspora in the US _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).

LOL. Great post, Goat.
This post is a great example of why you and AKL are the best writers on this website. Even though I may disagree with your (probable) leftist politics, you guys are witty and funny. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. Time to repeat my promise from two years ago, since today's been an absolutely scorcher. I love it!

Make what stop? The rain?
Better be thankful for what you get. Apparently, the monsoon is a flop this year and Bombay may have to endure water supply cuts.
I can imagine you in a dhoti, a lota under each arm, running back and forth from the water tanker and Delna chasing you with a broom, ordering 'aur pani mangta hai, aur pani mangta hai'

Hahah! Yes the effing rain. It's been non-stop for 5 days. Doom, gloom, wet nastiness and no sunshine... Ugh.
As if that wasn't enough, I've had major seepage and leakage thanks to the upstairs neighbour who's renovation went wrong. And so I've had to move (co-incidentally into Zo & Delna's guest room).
March can't come enough. _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |
