A new airport is planned for ISB. The details can be found on it's website.

Surprisingly, the master plan shows only one runway! Wouldnt it make sense to have two runways atleast? |

It's mostly the Middle East and South East Asian airlines which operate into Pakistan. No European airlines operate into Pakistan except perhaps BA. _________________ Save Maharashtra! |

Karachi is the main hub for international flights.
Back in 1982 I flew from Delhi to Paris by Air France. It had a stop in Karachi.
Pan Am used to fly there until a terrorist incident at the airport in 1986 in which some Indians were among those killed. This was a flight from DEL to FRA with a stop at KHI. |

If no International airlines operate to Pakistan, then why build a new airport? _________________ HamiltonAir |

It's not like there are no intl airlines, it's just that there are no American/European airlines, only Gulf based carriers.
In that sense, it's almost like EK/DXB are the official airline/airport for Pakistan! |
