These are the AI 747-200s, no longer flying. Peronally i feel one of this atleast should have been preserved. Sad sight everytime you have to see it.

I just wonder, Having seen many pictures of aircrafts that have been retired and stored in Desert, how much does it cost to pickup one of those frames for? Does anyone have any Idea??

Even if the cost of the airframe itself may be less than a million (I don't know, it could be more) it would surely cost you more than that to have it relocated to your location.

VT-EBE and VT-EBN were scrapped in the USA. VT-EFU, VT-EGA, VT-EGB and VT-EGC were scrapped in BOM.

Preservation def not possible at BOM.Maybe in another city.
However I def think one large scale model of each Aircraft operated by Indian operators should be housed in a Museum in the city.

That's VT-EVU. Ex SQ a/c was leased by AI. It is at VCV for freighter conversion.
