Star Trek called, said they're missing a ship.
Seriously though, it looks nice. A shame they went with something else.
Why do they have immigration on both sides but customs on just one? Are some international passengers not required to go through customs? |

This surely looks good & capable of handling many aircrafts at a time. Bad that it was rejected. _________________ MRVC Mania. My blog dedicated to the new violet-white suburban rakes of Mumbai. |

Actually, nevermind. I looked at the wrong green. Mistook baggage claim for customs...both are only on one side. |

I know why it got rejected, because it was too gud and modern for the babus.
This is a very very good design and different frm airports around the world

Wow, everyone here seems to base their opinion mainly on how the airport looks .
Im sure there were numerous factors to consider, and numerous things wrong with it. No one can give a complete opinion without seeing the other proposals (and 3 jpegs don’t really count). How much did it cost, how long would it take, services offered etc many many things to consider.
Personally I don’t like the fact that the retail area is so centered. It’s nice to have many areas to shop, not just one.
It does look good though. (but that's not the deciding factor) _________________ eP007

This plan may have been rejected on security grounds... it seems to have A/C on all four sides, meaning acces to groud side will be underground or in secure with fences...... I expect that our security focused babus would not have liked that.....
Any oen seen the master plan for BOM.... its even more ambitious.. |

Possible, but unlikely. The new Bangalore airport master plan has the same thing- aircrafts on 3 sides.
Where’s the 4th side, the front of the terminal and along its edge right? There’s nothing behind it, the 4th side of a square or rectangle so to speak. _________________ eP007 |
