The first direct flight from AMD-LHR took off on Tuesday afternoon with 226 passengers on board. The acft was A330-200.

This is a relief for passengers from AMD.They don't have to go to MUM for a transit flight anymore.

Nice one.
Although the salute needs to be over the Fuselage & while Taxiing. But guess 9W is playing safe.

There appears to be a tug so was this right after pushback? Maybe they swiveled the turrets across the fuselage.

Yea! HAWK21M is right it should be done when its taxing and not when steady or when it has just arrived at AMD from LHR.

In a country where water is scarce and where just few yards from the airport perimeter, people live without running water, doing a water salute seems to be a rather excessive and silly display.

Why not use a traditional Indian garlanding of the crew, or something less wasteful?
