|
|
I have an Indian passport which has a couple of Israeli B-Visa stamped on it. I hv travelled to Israel 4 times on these.
Will I be issued a UAE B-Visa and will there be any issue while entering the country?
p.s. I know for sure that KSA, Syria and Lebanon will not issue a visa in these cases. Regd UAE i hv not heard any confirmed data. |

Hi Justbala,
No you won't be allowed entry into the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar or Saudi Arabia if you have Israeli stamps on your passport. Transiting through DXB is no problem though.

Hi BigTom - Oman n Qatar dont see to hv a problem. My colleagues who hv Israeli visa hv travelled to both these countries on the same passport w/o trouble. In fact the only diplomatic post of Israel in the entire mid-east is in Doha. KSA I know for sure doesnt grant visa even to Jews. |

Thougn restrictions are in place, there are always ways and means of getting business visas if the sponsor can pull enough strings. Israeli representatives and delegates have been visiting UAE for various events on a regular basis, eg the World Bank-IMF meeting, the IRU summit etc. But generally as a rule of thumb people who have visited Israel are denied entry visas. Would be best to check with whoever is organising your trip. Many people I know who live in the region, have travelled to Israel and got their entry and exit stamps on a separate piece of paper to avoid such situations when they visit the GCC.

The other option would be to apply for an additional booklet. If I recollect the Bombay Passport authorities do issue addtional booklet if you tell them that you need to travel to Middle East but have Israeli stamp on your passport.

How much time does it take for them to give us such an additional booklet. |

You should be able to get an additional booklet within a week on an urgent basis even earlier. Hope it works. Let us know how it pans out.
