Finally got accepted at JetPhotos Very Happy

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6512874

Went spotting today and increased the ISO to Auto limit max 400, and it was a flaming disaster. ALL the images are grainy. 5 hours in the sun totally wasted. Talk about feeling frustrated and totally pissed off. Evil or Very Mad

A smiley and anger at the same time. I think it's very rare. Very Happy I'll go with smiley at the end of this post.

Devesh! I agree I suggested increasing ISO, but its use is situational.....for bright and sunny condition you have to weigh accordingly.....here in mild sunlight I have been okay with 400 esp while capturing take off very close. Its all about applying. About talking in general, you might want to see my photo at ISO 800 at the bottom of the previous page.

Devesh, It is better to use as low an ISO as possible, especially if you want to get pictures onto JP.net and/or airliners.net. I normally use ISO100 and f/8.0 on my Canon in Av mode (which adjusts the time according to the aperture). I think this will work great especially with the relentless sun and lighting we are currently having in BLR. In case of the above settings not working, I prefer to decrease the aperture, but do not touch the ISO at all. All my higher ISOs have been only eligible for addition to my personal collection.

Thanks. Wanna go for a spotting trip some time ? How about next Saturday ? Or if time permits even earlier. Smile

Would love to learn. Also have one of two non-forum friends who are great photographers (Photoyogi) but want to learn the art of "aviation photography".
