Just got to BLR after visits to TRZ-MAA-IXE.

I had checked up at the Forum Mall. Tickets were not available on 21/1/07. Has anybody from BLR purchased tickets yet?

I'm from Bangalore too, and would love to go for the Aero India show. Are tickets still selling at Forum / Garuda.

Also keen to meet all you A-Netters.

BTW, Nimish, I too stay very close to the Airport (though not that close that one can do close-range spotting from my apartment terrace !!)

The news paper ad I saw prohibited brining in camaras etc. to the venue Shocked! Don't know if they'll be strict about it.

Wasn’t CoK built from the first place to accommodate such a large plane? They do have plenty of bays for the A380..

I'm going to buy a ticket today for my dad and my son (who will attend in my absence), and will let you know what the ticket says.

But the no cameras/no-cellphones clause was clearly mentioned in the paper ads for the show. Can anyone upload a scan of the ad?

The "Man Friday" services at my workplace have tickets on offer - I've placed an order with them for the 8th Feb (weekday -> less rush).

Here's the ad in today's BLR paper:

Hopefully they're not going to be strict at the entrance - because most people will want to bring in cameras and the like.

I checked up again at the Forum Mall and Canara Bank. Rs. 750.00 tickets were not available. People at Forum had no idea about Rs. 750.00 ticket and the manager at Canara Bank informed me that Rs. 750.00 tickets would only be sold at the venue.

Typical mess - I would have hoped having the Farnborough team would help, but evidently our idiocy is able to take over Evil or Very Mad

Why advertise that tickets are available at so and so, and then not have tickets available there? And in this day of internet and ecommerce (and it's strong relevance in the aviation industry), why not just selling tickets via the web?

Thanks Bargavi.Look fwd to the same.

Banning Cellphones too.Wouldn't it be easier to have Security & Xray machines near the Entrance.

Never heard of an Airshow where one can't take pics.Very Disapointing.

I am not even sure whether they are issuing Rs. 750.00 tickets to non-trade participants.

An article that looks at the Indian Aerospace scenario at the Aero India show.

On the eve of the Aero India show in Bangalore, we look at how a successful industry is being built despite a creaking infrastructure, red tape and skills shortage

With all the agitations, bandhs, rasta rokos and galatas expected this week in Bangalore, I wonder what will happen to Aero India?

This time, it looks like there won't be a lot of truble due to Cauvery problems - so Aero India should go on fine.

There's a bandh planned on Thursday - so that's the only day when people could face trouble getting to Yelahanka Air base.

I understood most A-Netters from out of town are coming in on Friday/Saturday. So, guys, no need to change your plans still !!

The bandh will now be organized on Monday so that the Aero India show can be organized smoothly.

I fail to see the reason for this bandh or for that matter any bandh. It is shocking to see that it has the support of the state govt. If BLR is closed for a day, there is a loss of Rs. 1000 Crores to business and industry.
