This is how she looked in Aug. She was stored with no engines in one corner of their maintenance apron. |

I assume that wing near the F28 is a 747 classic of some sort. Biman's leased 742? Has it been removed from service? _________________ http://openflights.org/user/akumanduri |

You sir, have eagle eyes
Yes, it was a One 2 Go 747 classic. This one infact ==>
Was in temporary storage for reasons unknown. She also had a sister 743 for company |

That's actually the Orient Thai (not One 2 Go) 743 that Biman took on lease, and which arrived in DAK on June 20.
That was Biman's second leased 747, the first being the 747-200 from Kabo Air in the hybrid Northwest livery, which is still with them. Not too sure about the status of this one.
On a side note, interestingly, One 2 Go ceased ops on Jul 21, the day after the parent airline, Orient Thai offloaded this 743 to Biman. |

oops...my bad. Yes this is the Oriental Thai one only. The other 743 was a one 2 go version which had landed there and then the company went kaput. That has the One 2 Go by Oriental Thai titles. I did take a pic of it, but cant seem to find it. |

Very sad to see that 743 parked there.. its either ex-JAL or ex-Korean Machine..
THe most exotic a/c which orient thai had was the 747-146/sr SUD of JAL. _________________ ~~~Indian Aviation Photographers~~~ |

Ironically, One 2 Go is restarting ops. tomorrow after a 4 month suspension of service. |

The Mig 23 is a new entry to the IAF museum... must have come in during the past 12 months. BTW, it's a shame that I am unable to visit the place more often considering that I practically live there !! |
