|

Hi all,
Last weekend I had a HUSH HUSH spotting trip to MIA. It was a mini reunion and lots of partying. Amidst all that I took few hours to spot there. Now I was lucky that my friend Mr. Krishnan Menon lived just 3 miles from the airport.
There are 2 places that people generally spot there
* El dorado Furniture right net to RWY 09-27
* Some hole in the wall officially used for photography for the diagonal RWY.
I spotted from the first location.
Centurion cargo
One of many American A300's
AM 412 inbound from MEX
TACA means "Transportes Aéreos del Continente Americano " inbound from Managua (MGA), El Salvador
Avianca is the airline of the Republic Of Columbia
According to the local spotter there, this B757 operates for Icelandair
An Avianca A330, this was something surprising for the spotters here.
2 of the 6 spotters there at that time. The one wearing the shades had an ATC scanner with him.
IIRC this B757 was inbound from DFW
Tarmac view
Yawn! tired of the A300's almost coming after every 30 mins.
Another TACA
Check out the cargo Lux B744F

DC - 8 cargo on short finals
This B767 was inbound from ORD.
American Eagle inbound from Jacksonville,FL
A major airport in the US is incomplete without a BA flight. Here is BA 207 inbound from LHR. BA has 2 daily flights to MIA, this is the first of the day.
My fellow spotter Brian.
Another Arrow Cargo
Flag carrier of Panama
LH 462 inbound from FRA. LH also oeprates a A343 from DUS to MIA.

Just when things could not get any better for me, I witnessed an AF B744 go around.
Aborted landing and went for a go around
inbound from LIM
The nearby place
AF 090 now finally prepared for touchdown, inbound from CDG
I was just going to sit in the car, and so snapped it quickly.
Coming up Soon: A spotting session from DFW and/or IAH. |

Nice work, you even got TACA's new livery.
The spotter with the shades and scanner, was his name Jorge? Looks like him. |
