Meljoe, the pic caption clearly says August 05, 2008.
Or am I missing something?

Yes, I know that Meljoe. And in spite of your busy schedule in very trying weather conditions, you also send us your gems of wisdom, and share your fantastic knowledge about aircraft - including those you have not worked on. That's very nice of you, and we all love you for that!
The rain incident I was referring to was just to pull your leg over again -
the one about the runway lights going off at a place 1384km north of Mumbai, slightly north-east, shall we say? We had some good natured-fun at your expense on your being cock-sure about the weather cock based on cock-and-bull heresay, which you also reported on A.net. No hard feelings, Meljoe, I hope!
And yes, do keep your wonderful insightful posts coming!
Cheers, Sumantra. |

Sameer and Ritvij, my guess is that it is HKG. Rajesh-ji's other lovely VT-PPB pics are from that location, and the same time of the day (night). The time of the year matches Rajesh-ji's companion pics, too, IIRC.

As Ruts says, guess this should be at Changi. Air India doesn't get the A321 into Hong Kong. |

Is the addition of the Airbus Logo, the word "Airbus" and "A330-200" under the Indian flag a recent phenomena? |

Oops... my mistake. I trusted my nebulous memories a bit too much, and forgot that the topic of Rajesh-ji's post was `Hong Kong Spotting (+WSSS pics)' - I had missed out the WSSS part. Yes, I too was surprised at seeing pics of a 321 in Hong Kong that time, knowing that it was a traditional 310 destination.
Sorry for the mistake!
