Yah, VP-Bxx is indeed a Bermuda reg and like you said, is used for tax purposes. The Russians use it a lot due to their insane taxes on ownership/purchase of foreign aircraft.

One from my March 2008 archives! Spot the odd man out here! Laughing
Extreme haze and distance, hence the blur.
Wink Hint: I hope they restart services to VABB soon...!

How do you think so many pictures come? Obviously its a good location. Security issues are temporary, once thins die down the place is all good.

Yes i gather that from the plethora of pictures coming in. I am just peeved that everytime i ask, i get a negative answer! Its like trying to dissuade others from going there.

Thanks Avbuff... hope things are well with you in the states, do tell me which scanner you pick up, im looking for one too.

@vivek , birendra: thanks for the appreciation, yeah , sadly t2a is undergoing massive reconstruction/redevelopment !

@yash: yup, biman took my breath away after such a looong time!

@nitin, avbuff: jarimari has, is, and will always remain a high risk zone for aviation photography ! Security issues have NEVER been temporary! recently an enormously large one storey cisf watchtower has been erected bang below the dargah , thus enabling the cop on duty to get a fantastic view of all action taking place above and beyond the airport boundary! To add to that, the other hill is now "officially" out of bounds as the locals have forbidden us from frequenting dat place for all the various reasons mentioned before!
So any photography is purely achieved by taking gr8 risks!

Has AZ reinstated BOM service or is this an older pic? The tail in between MH and OS is AZ, correct?

AZ has not reinstated BOM/DEL. It must be an older pic, somewhere early 2008.

Not any more. With the latest terror attack of mass impact in Mumbai, security will be tighter than ever before. So my concern is that the security forces will not allow us to take pics from here on.

that is just temporary, and after a couple of months things will get back to normal at JM, bacause it is not the first time BOM has been attacked.

Sadlly, but this is the truth....... how things work at JM.. KA BOOM and depending on the magnitude.. spotting has to come to a complete stop for a certain duration for things to settle down then u have to give it a lot of time to heal. KA BOOM... time passes........spring arrives..autumn...fall...winter..... the cycle continues. Its very slow.
