|
|
Sept 2nd week is usually United Nations General Assembly week and that brings lots of interesting traffic to the city area airports. Heres some of mine from the UN Weekend trip.
The UN TRAFFIC...
Now some regular stuff... wx was fantastic for the most part.
It was a weekend full of surprises and some bad misses ( due to ever so repositioning to activ ) but overall did manage to get a good mix.

Rajesh-ji: simply great.
Two questions: first, did AI 141 and 101 not form part of the usual crowd on that day, or did you start after those early morning arrivals?
Second, did Manmohan Singh use his 737 BBJ to arrive?
Thanks, Sumantra. |

Sensational shots! Love the CX 77W on takeoff, incredible perspective. What type of camera are you using? I'm looking to buy a new one that gives similar quality.
Also, interesting to see MEA in your shots. They don't fly scheduled to NYC do they? We've been trying to get them into YUL for a few years now but incredibly the US government has pressured the Canadian government enough to stop it. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/caribb/sets/1716147/ |

The new Delta livery never ceases to amaze me. Its always sharp. The special livery (habitat for humanity) looks very nice as well. The Jet livery is also a standout always. Royal Jordanian and Carribean Airlines are sharp as always. The Cathay 777 looks a beauty as well. Awesome spotting. Awesome pics...
MEA was there cause of Lebanon being there for the general assembly meet i guess. The worst livery as always has got to be Alitalia _________________ http://airliners1.com

Thanks for the nice comments. I use Canon 40D coupled with 100-400 L lens.
MEA does not have scheduled services to JFK, it was UN flight.
Cheers. |

Departing 31 Left and turning over HOWARD Beach. It was a Canarasi SID, so they must turn ASAP after departing to intercept CRI radial and then for CX it was vectored to 040 heading and passing at 6000 AGL over the 31 arrivals and then again a bit left turn to 360 for pretty much North Pole and onto 15:40 min nonstop to VHHH. |
