Starting a new thread out here to get our spotters to post some pics of VT-EPX "Narasimha Varman" in her current state as she lies at BOM post retirement.

Looking forward to some wonderful pics of this old bird as she comes to the end of her life cycle.

The AI 747-337M deserves a separate thread.

And heres my contribution,

"Narasimha Varman" operating the BOM-DXB afternoon flight. 1200 pixels wide.

Yes. This was it. Date: 7th March 2008. Around 2.45pm. Not sure about the exact dates of withdrawal.

IIRC they're planned for Freighter conversion.

Has AI changed that plan?

Nice pics.......but let's try this again.....are there any pics of VT-EPX in her current state as she lies at BOM post retirement.

Here's an interesting one....from perhaps Jan 2008, probably of damage to the #4 engine cowling.

Indeed, but even the paint is still solid, especially the glare shield.

Here is the Business Class cabin of "Narasimha Varman"

What a fantastic experience it was sitting on the Upper Deck!! Smile Not even 25% occupancy in "J" that night!

Sreenath, Rajesh-ji, VT-ALA, Avijeet: Marvellous pics!
Rajesh-ji: the angle and the reflections - as Sreenath mentions, are fantastic.
VT-ALA: one is left speechless by the sheer beauty of the moment you have captured!
Thanks, Sumantra.

Well that shot was a result of 70X Digital zoom. Twisted Evil There wasn't much of detail in it. The_380 has a better shot of the similar angle. Anyways i'll try getting a snap from my terrace tomorrow if the wx permits. But then thats again gonna demand severe cropping or digital panning!

VABB needs to realize the needs of the aviation enthusiast and create a viewing gallery with proper security checks. Its a revenue stream and a guaranteed one at that.

Here's a recent (February 2009) one of VT-EPX at Kemble in the process of being broken up.

Ironically, VT-EVX "Luni" has ended up next to EPX at Kemble for breaking up!
