|
|
I'am planning to take up marketing job in an airline company, once I complete me M.B.A.I have checked the website of many airlines and have found out that most of them are looking for someone with 3-4yrs of experience.
Now there are few questions that I want to ask.
1.Are there limited job oppurtunities for marketing in this sector?
2.Why is it difficult even for an M.B.A graduate?
3.If all the airlines are asking for experience in this sector than how am
I going to get the first job itself in this sector?
4.How should I go about in applying for a marketing job in an airline?
Any suitable points or suggestions, from anyone, regarding this will be much appreciated. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

Same story in most fields....The Airlines want experience & the individual does not get a chance to gain experience....
Probably the Individual would need to compromise on the position appointed initially for a few yrs until experience is gained & training provided.

AFAIK - airlines don't do campus placements either? Best bet would be to get in direct contact with some of the marketing folks in these airlines, and talk to them on an internship or summer project. If you get that, then getting a job offer is much easier. _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

Well most vacancies in airlines are usually under the layers.. Just drop in your resume and wait .. They might call you sooner than you expect. As nimish said try to get a hold in them during your summer internship or projects - you might just end up as a management trainee at the end of it if you impress them enough.
