About the A380, Qantas seems to be thinking of killing the kangaroo logo.

Creating a storm in Australia, and a few forums say it will be like Delta getting rid of its widge and Air India of its palace windows!

Qantas is supposed to be unveiling its new look on July 25th.
Interesting!! Same time as Air India
Similiarities:
Both are among the oldest airlines in the world.
Both have a red and white scheme
Both specialise in long haul travel!
Both use the Boeing 747 as mainstay.

SQ's livery looks good on the A380.

Why has Qantas come up with this thought of changing Kangaroo livery in thier new A380 and B787?Considering the fact that Kangaroo is their national symbol.

Agree.

Besides, about the photo - all's right except the french registration.
I'm assuming that it's still a month or two (maybe a few) before the induction of this baby into SQ's fleet ??

Exactly! The perfect example of design and beauty is the 747!....Nothing like it

The stubby look really came out when I put it as the wallpaper.

Yes it would but keep in mind that when it was designed it was designed with the longer A380-900 in mind. So that one will likely look better.
