A compliment from you is an honour and achievement. I started spotting on June 12th, 2007.

U and karan are my mentors & inspiration. (I have read all of both of u guys posts even from the archives, and that is how i recognised Karan at PVR).

My local Mumbai guru is member Shekhar and tips given by member Yash. I owe a lot to these guys.

I follow pictures of Prajay, Vishal Jolapara and Iflytb20 and hope to be guided by them.

I would love to assist you when u are here in July.

I use a Olympus FE 120. A very simple camera. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/05082905oly_fe120.asp

Yah, that's understood since you mentioned that earlier. I was wondering how to find your specific pictures in the pool. It appears they are not all sorted but maybe I'm doing something wrong. It is the link at the top of the page, right?

Now that there are more airline photos taken from India,in particular from MUMBAI,I only wish that airlines from Europe and North America operate flights during day time. It'll be even more great for airline enthusiasts to take more pics of beautiful liveries of airlines from these places.

Actually that's one of the best pics I've seen from your coolpix.
I don't see a big difference between the two.

Actually it is the second one on the anet db after royal s king.

Private Beechcraft.

Main pictures can only be posted by YASH for today's spotting. Wink We ran into a technicality and support was flown in from Olympus to Canon Wink and we were spotting again.

Excellent comparison.

A bunch of questions for both of you.

C-GHKR :
o was this with your Rebel or Powershot (from Aseem's comment I assume Rebel).
o Was this pic taken with the your IS 300mm lens or 55mm?
o Do U know what F stop and White Balance U used?
o Was there any Noise Reduction in play?
o Was this JPEG or RAW? and If JPEG, did U modify and save it ( trying to figure of if any loss of quality, obviously none)

Aseem :
o Was this Auto while balance (I believe, S4 has manual WB settings)
o The lighting/tone is drastically different. Would it be similar if you play with this pic to cool down or warmify the pic?
o there seems to be noise in your 2816 x 2112, but significantly less noticeable in 1024 x 768
o Is the 1024 your size or flicker's?

Thanks,

R

Rebel XT. It was not the greatest lighting and hence not the best shot( thats why Aseems P&S caught up, P&S does better in low light unless you have a real expensive lens(F2.8 L lens etc) for the DSLR).

It was @ 70mm w/ 70-300mm IS lens. 18-55mm is a toy and cannot be used for anet shots, at least my setup.
I used F/4 in aperture priority, I am too lazy to change the WB and hence it was auto, ISO was 100.
I used jpeg as converting from raw for me is a hassle(or may be my software is crap).

I used photoshop (crop resize, changed angle to match the horizontal)and may have done some noise thingos, I don't remember( I dont think 350D has any built-in noise controls). I have the original jpg 3456x2304 pixels and 2.11MB big. The one on anet is 1600x1177 and 653kB.
