I paid 16264, the after the fees and taxes.. I agreed price as 16000 but the dealer decided to add 264 in vehicle registration, and so i gave in and took it...

I was only looking at Honda Civic besides the Corolla and the Civic after bargaining was given a price of 18… Then I went over to Toyota and I told them 16 or I’ll walk and they said fine and I got it fully loaded..

Corolla is a fantastic vehicle. My vehicle is a '96 model with 160K miles on it and it still runs flawlessly. Toyota just gets it right...

Great choice!

With fuel prices they way they are the corolla makes a lot of sense.

I needed multiple vehicles for a business and researched various makes and models for around three months. In the end corolla made the most sense.

We got good pricing from a local dealer. We went in to get all Manual transmission Corolla CE's but found that none had cruise control or ABS. They could factory order them but it wouldve taken a while. Upon further negotiating we ended up getting Corolla S cars all fully loaded with additional features such as sunroof, alloy wheels, fog lamps (which are somewhat uneccassary for a business fleet but welcomed nonetheless) and essential features such as Cruise Control, ABS, side-curtain Airbags, Automatic Transmission, 6-disc in-dash CD, Keyless entry etc.

To top that all of the toyota reliability and safety is always there.

The cars are a pleasure to drive, they are very quiet which is a major advantage when you have to communicate so while driving.

Its only been a month and a half since we got them and I have already managed to put about 6,500 miles on mine.

Currently getting around 35-36 MPG. Not bad for a non-hybrid.

I am a spoilt Noth American Driver, drive a V6 3800cc GM car and I can't drive an I4.

Corolla is the most reliable car in the world, a great car unless you are corrupted by the V6 mania.

Thats only a comparison of the specs. Toyota and chevy are relatively new in India.

Here we have the history of its performance and reliabilty. None of the American cars can compete with Toyota in terms of quality and reliablity. Some may not agree, but the Toyos are better than German cars. The statistics say that.

Side opinion, instead of paying it in full, you should have considered a loan and paid it of in (say) 6 months or so. It would have looked good on your credit report. (It might not be too late, some credit unions might still finance it)

Amen to that. 97, 105k miles. If not for the 2 year old 4 Runner (Toyota loyalty Laughing ) could have been more.

C-GHKR, In India Chevy is compared at par with Toyota. I for sure would not by a American car.

Amen to that. See my above remark.

Speaking about the traffic conditions, They are horrible here in Mumbai. Yesterday my dad took 1 & half hours for covering the Goregaon to Borivali distance by western "express" Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes highway!! For those out of Mumbai, the distance is about 6-8 km
