todays TOI has PP saying that a new livery and brand had been sent across to Boeing to be painted on the 777s.. now whether he means the one that we have already seen on VT-ALA or an entirely new one is not clear.

Strong clue that it's a new livery which is why the three aircraft (777) are still on the ground.

Also the 2 aircraft are not going to Delta. This is confirmed.

The 747-400s (6) are undergoing the changes/complete refurbishment after the first 777-200LR arrives.

MoCA has also asked Air India to seriously explore setting up a hub in Europe (ala Jet). Indications are that it could be the great mystery --- why AI is cozying up with Jat Airways --- an AI hub, but in East Europe.

Sensible decision to retain the Air India brand. A good start!

Hope they carry out the route rationalization & staff integration seamlessly.

How the new livery looks remains to be seen!

Any idea when the new livery will be revealed? The current newly painted livery looks cool, I hope they dont come up with a crappy livery.
