Pakistan's aviation regulators have ordered Aero Asia International Airlines to suspend its operations immediately for failing to meet safety standards.
Reuters news agency reported Thursday that the Civil Aviation Authority had ordered the shutdown of the airline, which operates three domestic and three international routes.
An airline spokesman said the carrier had suspended operations "until further notice" while it searches for newer aircraft and technology.
