All IAF aircraft to have midair refueling capability
09 Dec 2012
IAF vice chief of air staff said the decision applies to all its current and future acquisitions - whether combat jets, transport aircraft, helicopters or other assets
In a major step to increase its range and operational capabilities, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has decided that all its aircraft and helicopters will have the capability for midair refueling.
Disclosing this, the IAF vice chief, Air Marshal DC Kumaria, said at the Fifth National Seminar on Aerospace Technologies (N-SAT) recently that the decision applies to all its current and future acquisitions - whether combat jets, transport aircraft, helicopters or other assets.
Only aircraft with this capability will be considered for acquisition in future, he observed adding that technology and strategic requirements have evolved over time and that the IAF decision is in line with the current thinking in military aviation worldwide.

India’s rapid response secondary strike squadrons ( nuked Su-30 ) have mid air refueling capacity for a long time. This has changed the strategic balance in Indo-Pak nuke confrontation. With slightest chance of nuke confrontation these squadrons could take off and preposition themselves for second strike deep inside hostile territory. Refueling capacity has made them operable from any airbases in south, east and central India. Pak must think twice before any nuke misadventure. It’s a good news that such capacity will now be extended for the whole air force. _________________ Sabya99 |

Mel, helicopters capable of mid-air refueling usually have a probe at the front. Here is a photo of the probe on a Sikorsky MH-53:
Here are some photos of mid-air refueling with helicopters:

As of now all of western fleet and Su-30s have refuelling capability. Only MiG27s and MiG 21s does not have it currently and IMO will not be having them as they are due for retirement. As for MiG29, they are undergoing upgradation and soon have them.
In transport fleet, C-130J and C-17s have them. None of chopper fleet has.
Cheers
