After Europe, Sprice.com comes to Asia

Sprice.com, a search engine for airfares and hotel rates, has forayed into Asia.

Sprice is a product of Travel Meta Search Pte. Ltd. (TMS), a Singapore registered company. TMS was formed in June 2006 as the result of a merger between Fare.Net of Singapore and Coelis of France.

After establishing its presence in Europe in the past few months, Sprice is now being unveiled in Asian markets. Localised websites are available via Sprice.com.sg (serving Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong) and Sprice.co.in (India).

In 2007, 2007 TMS is planning further launches in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, including key markets like Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany, part of its strategy to provide a truly global travel search platform. Apart from the current search engine for airfares and hotels rates, search capability for other travel products such as car rentals, tours and travel packages is also being developed.

The company stated that unlike most other travel sites in Asia, Sprice displays not only fare information, but also taxes, surcharges, and all-inclusive prices, all in a single screen. After finding the most suitable travel offer, the traveller can access the relevant vendor website with a single click to make a booking. This efficient and convenient comparison shopping service is offered to travellers free of charge.

TMS operates in Europe through its office in Strasbourg, France, while the head office in Singapore serves the markets in Asia-Pacific.
